Discord Lookup

Discord Lookup takes a Discord ID and returns three things at once: the Discord profile, that person’s record on your server, and any bans against them locally or on the global banlist.

Use it when someone applies to your community, appeals a ban, or is reported by another player.

Setting it up

The lookup needs a Discord bot token, set on your game server rather than in the dashboard. The token never reaches Asphyxia — your game server queries Discord directly and returns the answer.

See Server configuration for how to create the token and where to put it. It needs no special permissions.

Without a token the page still works. It reports that Discord data is unavailable and shows the ban and player records.

Searching

Reading the results

Status row — whether Asphyxia has a record of them playing, active bans on your server, and whether they are on the shared cheater list.

Discord profile — avatar, display name, username, account creation date and public badges. A very new account applying to your community is worth more scrutiny than an old one, though it proves nothing on its own.

Player record — if they have played on your server: in-game name, license, risk score, first and last seen, and any staff notes. Risk accumulates from strikes and does not decay.

Ban records — every ban matching that Discord ID, split into your server’s bans and global banlist entries. Each shows the reason, details, Ban ID, and whether it is active or lifted. Lifted bans stay visible so that a successful appeal remains distinguishable from no ban at all.

Rate limits

Discord limits how often your bot can ask. Searching rapidly shows “Discord is rate-limiting this server” — wait a moment and retry. Normal use does not reach the limit.
