# Access

Access lets a server owner delegate dashboard management to other people.
Delegates sign in with their own Discord account and can only see the servers
and sections explicitly granted to them.

This page is owner-only. Someone with only shared access cannot manage sharing
for servers they do not own.

## People list

Grants are grouped by person. Each row shows their name, Discord ID, earliest
grant date, server coverage, and role badge.

Badges can be Admin, Moderator, Helper, Viewer, Mixed, or Custom. Expand a row
to see each server grant and its main permissions.

## Add user

1. **Enter their Discord user ID**

   Use the numeric Discord ID: 17–20 digits. The person must have logged in at
   least once before they can be found.

2. **Select servers**

   Choose one or more servers you own. The same permissions apply to every
   selected server. Servers they already have are left out of the new grant.

3. **Choose permissions**

   Start from Admin, Moderator, Helper, or Viewer, then customize individual
   sections if needed.

4. **Grant access**

   The dashboard reports created and skipped servers, and reports that the new
   delegate is notified.

>
> You cannot grant access to yourself. Owners already have full access to their
> own servers.

## Permission levels

| Level | Meaning |
| :--- | :--- |
| None | No access to that section |
| View | Read access |
| Manage | Read plus change access |

Some sections have no manage action, so they offer only None or View:

- Overview
- Audit log
- Fingerprints
- Game map
- Discord lookup

## Presets

| Preset | Intended for |
| :--- | :--- |
| Admin | A trusted co-owner with everything delegable |
| Moderator | Manages players, bans, strikes, admins, triggers, whitelist, and resources |
| Helper | Read-only visibility for overview, players, bans, strikes, and logs |
| Viewer | Read-only overview |

Changing a preset creates a Custom permission set.

## Edit access

Open a grant and change its preset or individual sections. Changes apply
immediately. A grant must keep at least one permission; remove the grant to
revoke access completely.

## Remove access

Removal is immediate. Removal normally also resets the server's shared secret,
because a delegate's browser may have held it for dashboard relay signing.

> **Caution**
>
> After a secret reset, copy the new secret from [Servers](/website/servers) and
> update it in `server.cfg`.

Everything removed delegates did remains in the [Audit Log](/website/logs).
The API rechecks permissions on every request; hiding a page is convenience,
not the actual access control.
